Established over 2 dacades ago and one of Asia’s 50 best restaurants for six consecutive years.
In a small house surrounded by trees, this modern-style restaurant has turned the ground floor into a cosy cocktail bar decorated with art on the walls. Opened in 1998, the restaurant has won numerous awards: it has been among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants since 2013, it received The Plate Award from Michelin Guide in 2019, and its cocktail bar won the Best Restaurant and Bar 2018 and Bartender of the Year 2018 from Bar Awards Bangkok. On the first floor is the dining room, with seating both indoors and outdoors, and a small bar. Eat Me is famous for its international cuisine by Chef Tim Butler, who expertly adapts Asian ingredients to international dishes.
Start with Mixed Clams, a variety of clams boiled with parsley and lime stock, with added flavour from small pieces of shredded, fermented pork. Follow with the bouillabaisse, made with giant Spanish prawn together with scallops and clams in an Italian Nduja soup. The soup is served with toast and homemade hollandaise sauce.
The most popular main course here is definitely the Oxtail and Bone Marrow Red Curry. The perfect mellow meat with the grilled toast is a sublime combination.
Great cocktails are on offer, including Boonthanet “Pop” Direkrittikul’s creation: “Sip Some Thai”. Another delicious choice is Laab Moo Cocktail, which actually contains ingredients of the well known Northeastern spicy, sour dish. Finally there is Miang Kum cocktail, full of the flavours of Thai herbs.
