8 – 24 March 2019
As the foodie capital of Australia, Melbourne loves an excuse to celebrate all things eating and drinking. Now in its 27th year, the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival includes over 200 events spread over two and a half weeks, featuring many of Victoria’s most innovative chefs and wine producers to showcase their produce. While many of the events are ticketed, there are plenty of free offerings too. Our top picks include San Antone Smokehouse Festival; Texas-style BBQ and entertainment on the Riverwalk (8 – 11 March), and Mercato Vucciria, a Sicilian-style street food party on 10 March.
