Australia: Sacred rock

Aug 07, 2019

Hiking up Uluru, the famous red sandstone monolith also known as Ayers Rock located in Australia’s Northern Territory, will soon be a thing of history. The UNESCO World Heritage site is sacred to the Anangu aboriginal group, one of the oldest human cultures in the world and traditional owners of the surrounding land. The ban will take effect on 26 October 2019.
