Visitors to Bangkok’s old town in Rattanakosin have a new historical place of interest to add to their programme. A former 120-year-old residence, designed by the famed Italian architect Mario Tamagno whose high-profile portfolio also includes the Thai capital’s Hua Lamphong Railway Station, has been given new life as a “cultural and civic hub” complete with a zero-waste, social impact café.
