Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, THAI Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Sumeth Damrongchaitham, THAI President, Mr. Wiwat Piyawiroj, THAI Executive Vice President, Commercial, and Mr. Nond Kalinta, THAI Vice President, Sales, welcomed Mr. Masaki Ogata, Chairman, Tohoku Tourism Promotion Organization, Mr. Norihisa Satake, Governor, Akita Prefecture, Mrs. Mieko Yoshimura, Governor, Yamagata Prefecture, Mr. Yoshihiro Murai, Governor, Miyagi Prefecture, and other guests who attended a meeting, held at InterContinental Bangkok, on business cooperation and expansion throughout the Tohoku region of Japan, due to the imminent launch of THAI flights from Bangkok-Sendai on 29 October 2019.
Governors and representatives from six prefectures of Tohoku region also attended the meeting held at THAI Head Office. In addition to generating tourism income in the region, THAI’s Bangkok-Sendai service will enable business expansion, as well as forge relationships and confidence between Japan and Thailand. THAI is prepared to fly tourists from Tohoku can travel on THAI and THAI Smile flights to destinations in Thailand’s provinces. Furthermore, THAI will fly international passengers to Sendai and travel onward to other areas in the Tohoku region.
