The stunning natural attractions of Krabi, including beautiful white sand beaches, sparkling turquoise water, coral reefs and lush forests are well known to tourists who have been visiting this tropical paradise for decades. Now there’s a new way to enjoy it all: the province has become a popular place for bike touring.
Thanks to the availability of bikes for rent, tourists in Krabi are no longer limited to the beach and underwater world. Krabi province can now welcome tourists with green hearts to enjoy the cycling routes along the Andaman coast and explore inland. More and more visitors to Krabi are discovering the charms of touring on two wheels. Cycle routes take them through the area’s unique scenery – along beaches, through coconut groves, past towering cliffs of limestone and into cool, shady forests. En route, visit ancient archaeological sites, farming communities and eco-tourism destinations, and stop off to go shopping for souvenirs and to try the local food.
These attractions make Krabi very attractive to cyclists, whether they be serious bikers or simply visitors with a spirit for adventure who enjoy burning a few calories. Krabi Tourism Authority has developed a total of 10 cycling routes covering 5 districts in the province: Mueang, Ao Luek, Nuea Khlong, Khlong Thom and Ko Lanta.
